The Government of Earth is in shambles after the bombing that led to the death of most of its leaders, and the few who remain to pick up the pieces face a new threat at home on Earth, one that threatens to destabilize their society and the partnership with their alien allies. Meanwhile, Cody struggles to find a way to save Samantha and Joe after their capture at the Battle of Ceres. He’s joined by the last survivors of his squad as they attempt to mount a rescue deep within Vre'clan space with the assistance of the I.F.S. Phantom and its crew; but without the aid of the injured Genesis Dixon, will they succeed before Samantha and Joe run out of time?
